Rare Car In Lincoln Museum Comes Out of Hiding For New HBO Documentary

A rare car in Lincoln has come out of hiding because of a new HBO documentary called, "The Lady And The Dale."
In the 1970s, Elizabeth Carmichael became a media sensation for promoting The Dale, a three-wheeled, inexpensive, and lightweight car with a motorcycle engine. One of the only three prototypes is displayed at Lincoln’s Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed.
Tim Matthews is the museum’s curator and said the car was made solely to demonstrate what other cars would look like.

Traditions are a big deal at this time of year—and to hot rodders all the time. One of the coolest December traditions in this hobby is the annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show in Yokohama, Japan, presented by Mooneyes Japan.
The famous one-day event, the biggest custom car and motorcycle show in Asia, takes place at the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center. The event opens with an impressive parade of cars and motorcycles down the center aisle of the building. More than 15,000 enthusiasts from all over the world pack the venue to see approximately 300 hot rods, customs, muscle cars, lowriders, and about twice as many bikes. A few hundred vendor booths offer merchandise, such as vintage apparel, artwork, and related car culture items. A pinstripers' exhibition provides even more to look at, and a day-long schedule of live rockabilly and surf bands provides the soundtrack.
