Firefighters battling major gorse fire in the Mourne Mountains A large gorse fire in the Mourne Mountains MORE than 50 firefighters battled a gorse fire in the Mourne Mountains yesterday. Firefighters worked to put out the fire in the Bloody Bridge area of Newcastle from the early hours.
