Frontiers | The Role of Payment Technology Innovation in Environmental Sustainability: Mediation Effect From Consumers' Awareness to Practice

Based on the traditional internal factor model, high environmental awareness should bring higher engagement in environmental practices. In reality, however, many studies have found no significant correlation between the two. To explain this, frontier research is focusing on what external factors influence environmental sustainability. As a typical example of such external factors, this article focuses on the innovation of Internet payment technology. Based on a survey of 623 individuals living across mainland China, we conduct path analysis, stepwise regression analysis, and a mediation test on Internet payment technology, environmental awareness, environmental protection practices, and demographics such as age, income, and sex. We find that Internet payment technology plays a significant mediator role between environmental awareness and environmental behaviors, and that demographics also affect sustainability. Frontiers | E-Learning Adoption in Higher Education Institutions During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Multigroup Analysis

Using the DeLone and McLean (D&M) Model, the study explains the differences between female and male students’ accessibility to E-learning portals. This study compares female and male student groups regarding the usage of the E-learning portal in the higher education context. Using an online google survey, the data were collected from 254 students, including males and females. The study utilized PLS-SEM to perform a multi-group analysis examining female and male student groups. The multi-group analysis followed the MICOM procedure, and SmartPLS three was utilized to analyze the data. The study found a significant and direct relationship of E-service quality with system use and user satisfaction. System quality also supported the relationship with user satisfaction.
