A ‘red alert’ from the U.N.
Not good enough, try again.
That’s what the United Nations told countries last week about updated pledges to cut emissions as part of the Paris Climate Agreement. Half of the countries party to the accords and many of the top polluting nations including the U.S. missed the deadline to submit tougher goals for 2030. The Biden administration says it will update America’s pledge by April but the commitments on file right now are nowhere near what’s required to limit warming. ....
