At least six people have been killed after local vigilantes reportedly retaliated against the killing of their leader in a community in the Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State, northwest Nigeria. According to Daily Trust, the leader of the vigilante group identified as Alhaji Dahiru Gidan Hashimu was reportedly killed by a terrorist at Kasuwan Kara (cattle market) in the area.
