Patients who were supposed to get their COVID-19 vaccinations through Yale New Haven Health Monday or Tuesday will be rescheduled for later this week, according to an official overseeing the program.
The vaccination sites were closed because of the snowstorm.
“We have a way in our electronic health record to move an entire schedule to a later day,” said Dr. Ohm Deshpande, vice president for population health and associate chief clinical officer. “Everybody will get rescheduled for this week, and that includes the weekend.” ....

California is starting to vaccinate residents 65 and older as demand subsides for health care workers, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday.
“There is no higher priority than efficiently and equitably distributing these vaccines as quickly as possible to those who face the gravest consequences,” Newsom said in a statement. “To those not yet eligible for vaccines, your turn is coming. We are doing everything we can to bring more vaccine into the state.” ....
