Three outstanding female scientists, who have received the L’Oréal – UNESCO Science Awards for the Development of Women in Science 2023, speak to Việt Nam News reporter Thu Trang about their potential research projects in the fields of materials science and life sciences.
They were selected based on their outstanding scientific research achievements, and the modernity, novelty, applicability and potential of their research projects. The prize is worth VNĐ150 million (US$6,100) for each scientist.
They suggested developing the processing of special high-value elements, and building research and transfer centres to master core technology in extractive metallurgy.
The four youngest candidates consist of Associate Professor Trần Xuân Bách; Associate Professor Nguyễn Đại Hải; Associate Professor Đoàn Thái Sơn and Associate Professor Hoàng Lê Trường .
