reporting that hamas decided to delay the second round of release of hostages, after yesterday, that included 13 women and children. i m jacqui heinrich. griff: i m griff jenkins. despite the delay of the release. a delegation arrived to meet with israeli officials where they re discussing possible extension of the cease-fire. hey, alex. hi, jacqui and griff. the officials say they will not release the hostages or delaying it until there s more aid that comes into gaza. we will have to continue to monitor this. it s worth noting yesterday that the hostages were released a couple of hours after the initial expected release time. now, what we re also seeing are those heart warming photos and videos of families being reunited with loved ones and who has successfully made it home and who is back on israeli soil. and danielle and her daughter, and adina, and magda, and we re seeing them hugging families members as they arrived and this is a 9-year-old boy who celebrated hi ....

we are back with another hour of our special coverage of the hamas hostages being released today. i m chris jansing in new york. it was a long-awaited moment. just last hour we saw this convoy of vehicles with israeli hostages crossing into israel. just moments after they were handed over to the red cross ahead of their medical evaluations and reunions with loved ones. these are the faces of the 13 hostages, women and children who were in captivity for 49 days as young as 2 years old, as old as 85. israel is releasing palestinian prisoners in the exchange, women and teenage boys. that is part of this deal, and with aid trucks arriving today through the gaza-egypt border, the palestinian red crescent is warning of a dire situation inside gaza saying the needs of the palestinians are increasing. a u.n. spokesman in geneva weighing in as well. we hope it allows grieving families to honor their dead and bury them with dignity. and we hope that this humanitarian pause lead ....

to underscore how today could have been radically different in modern history books as we watch what is happening today. what we understand is in a benchmark of progress, 24 hostages have now been released. 13 israelis, 10 thai nationals and one filipino citizen as the israel-hamas hostage deal holds steady on the first of what will be a longnd critical four days. among the youngest israelis freed today, a 2-year-old, 4-year-old, 5-year-old and a 9-year-old. you can see a small child here getting into that bus preparing to go home and leaving their nearly seven-week long nightmare behind. they have since been reunited with their families, given toys and clean clothes as they start the long journey to healing. many of them may not have an understanding of everything that has transpired on october 7th and since and challenges still remain for the families of those who did not come home today yet. as for the civilians inside the strip, the israeli military dropping new lea ....
