A workshop on “cultural burning” at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve focused as much on First Nation attitudes toward the land as much as it did on setting small fires to prevent bigger ones.
The cultural sensitivity and awareness workshop, which includes a demonstration of a cultural burn, starts at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve, 34199 County Road 20, Woodland.
