i am the luckiest person in the world. my family is safe. now i need to check on my neighbors. michelle s home burned in the steiner ranch community northwest of austin. today we are reminded not all fire victims were lucky and we may not know all the dead. the biggest fire has killed at least two people, and two others, a mother and toddler died elsewhere in the state on sunday. today a 100-member search team from texas task force one plans to fan out southeast of austin where authorities fear not everybody fled when the flames approached. take a look here. this is an interactive map you can link to from the website of the texas forest service. it has burned more than 33,000 acres and is 30% contained. this time yesterday it was zero percent contained. and then another fire torched 75 homes and threatens many more. my colleague is watching the battle, and many don t know whether their homes burned or not and may now be getting some answers? reporter: yeah, author ....

school, teachers and students have been filling that football field on campus. a text message from the school informed students and parents that the sheriff s officers in orange county, they ve been investigating a bomb threat. here s where the story takes a bizarre turn. our affiliate in california as well as the l.a. times, they re all reporting that an awol marine from nearby camp pendleton left a threatening note behind in his barracks. that s what tipped off the authorities to go to the high school. evacuate these students and inspect some of the buildings there. the evacuation started just in the last hour or so. we ve been watching as the kids have been filling the outdoor areas. but i ve been told that they re now moving inside. apparently, it s very, very hot in the l.a. area today. so they re moving inside towards the gym. deemed a safe zone. talking to parents, just in the last couple of minute on social media who say they have kid at the school and their stu ....

we ll begin with the breaking news, all of us with money in the stock market, we re just catching our breath and now this, another big selloff on wall street. all three major indices way down at the closing bell. the dow losing a hefty 419 points. it s the fourth biggest slide for the dow in a month of big losses. the dow has plunged 1152 points so far this august. that s a drop 9.5%. and the month isn t even over yet. let s turn to cnn s richard quest. he s following what s going on. a lot of traders on wall street, richard, they re blaming what s happening where you are in europe for a lot of the problems here in the united states. do they have a point? way too simplistic to put it like that, wolf. there are problems on both sides of the atlantic. what prefaced today s fall was the morgan stanley s report that warned of a dangerous risk of recession in the united states and in the euro zone because of what it called policy errors and sluggish growth. it s not you ....
