High Desert National Day of Prayer events for a broken and hurt nation Victorville Daily Press The 70th annual National Day of Prayer on Thursday will include several public assemblies across the Victor Valley who will pray for America under this year’s theme “Lord, Pour Out Your Love, Life, and Liberty.” The NDP theme, which comes from the biblical passage 2 Corinthians 3:17, is the banner over the ceremony that centers on praying for the nation’s leaders, families, schools, children, first responders, military and the economy. Many of the prayer events will be led by church, ministry, nonprofit and community leaders. Keynote speakers, music, readings, skits and other activities may also be included. ....
