Provincial veterinarian Loida Valenzuela confirmed this on Thursday, saying that the beneficiaries included those not covered by insurance packages from the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation. "The latest beneficiaries were from Laoag City, Batac City, Banna, Solsona, San Nicolas, Paoay, Marcos and Vintar," said Valenzuela, adding that this is now the fourth batch of distribution of recovery aid to hog raisers. In a statement, Ishak Mastura, BBOI-BARMM chair, identified the new investments as the 2,000-hectare industrial corn plantation of the Lanao del Sur Corn Development Corp. (LDSCDC), and the Halal certification project of the Prime Certification and Inspection Asia Pacific, Inc. or PRIME Certification. "With the peace and order situation immensely improving, and political stability gaining ground in the region, it is the best time to invest in the BARMM," Mastura, a lawyer, said. Traumatized by clashes with soldiers in the outskirts of Hilongos, Leyte, and sleepless nights and hunger, Anos decided to return to his family in December 2018. "We were told that the fight is for the welfare of the poor, but I realized that it's all about their propaganda," said Anos, of Canlampay village here.
