Montie Ard, oldest resident at Heartland, celebrates 104th birthday

In May, she tested positive for COVID-19 — but was asymptomatic, with just some mild headaches.
But on Saturday, Montie Lee (Stephens) Ard will celebrate her 104th birthday.
She's the oldest resident at Heartland of Bucyrus, 170 W Mansfield St., according to Annette Sherman, activity director.
Signs have been posted outside the nursing home for the celebration, she said, and all of the staff and residents have signed a special poster.
On Saturday, Ard with be treated to balloons and a special meal. The staff music therapist will sing some of her favorite songs. Fellow residents will sing happy birthday to her, and some family members have scheduled a monitor visitation, Sherman said.
