To bridge the industry-academia gap, Gujarat Student Startup and Innovation Hub (i-Hub) has urged state universities to introduce courses on design thinking techniques and tools.

Gujarat on Saturday reported 1,026 new Covid-19 cases, taking the case tally to 2,34,569. Another 1,252 patients were discharged, taking the total discharged patients to nearly 2.18 lakh. As many as seven patients succumbed to the infection during the day.

The Gujarat High Court has took suo motu cognizance of a survey conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and the UNICEF Gujarat that found among households which had children enrolled in government schools, 85 per cent of parents had not able to access anything in lieu of mid-day meals since March, when schools were closed due to the Covid-19pandemic. ....

Gujarat: Health dept hikes stipend for medical interns by Rs 5,000
Currently, the monthly stipend for interns across 14 such colleges ranges from Rs 12,800 to Rs 13,000. With the revision, the monthly stipend will now go up to Rs 17,800-Rs 18,000.

Nealy 2,000 interns across Gujarat had gone on a strike on December 14 seeking a monthly stipend of at least Rs 20,000, an additional honorarium for the days of Covid-19 ward/patient duty. (Representational)
