CARY, N.C. –  The Clemson men’s tennis team (11-14, 1-11 ACC) started the ACC Tournament off strong, handily defeating Boston College (7-14, 0-12 ACC) 4-1 at the Cary Tennis Park. The Tigers dropped the doubles point but dominated in singles to take four matches in straight sets and clinch the victory. CARY, N.C. –  The Clemson men’s tennis team (11-15, 1-11 ACC) competed against No. 5 seed and 18th nationally ranked Florida State, (18-7, 8-4 ACC) but couldn’t complete the upset, dropping the match 4-0.  The Tigers held their own in doubles as Nini Dica and Matt Pitts were one game away from taking Court 2, but Florida State was able to win 6-3 and 6-1 on Courts 1 and 3, respectively to take the doubles point. CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. –  The Clemson men’s tennis team (10-13, 1-10 ACC) stole the doubles point and battled hard against No. 7 Virginia (19-4, 10-0 ACC) but came up short 4-1 Friday night.  The match started off on a high note for the Tigers as every court competed well a tough Virginia team.
