shoot down russian aircraft in dog fights over the skies over ukraine. and lowest reward because most of the devastation that we're seeing in cities like kyiv and mariupol and kharkiv is not coming from the sky. it's coming from artillery on the ground, coming from rocket fire, missiles fired from the ground. so to have any impact on that a no-fly zone would immediately have to become a no drive zone with the u.s. air force firing on every russian unit they see on the ground surrounding these cities. if you're for that, okay, but be aware that the -- say it, be honest about the fact that you're advocating for the united states to get involved in a war directly with russia. and finally, i would say i think putin wants us to get involved in a way. the russians don't want -- there's no motivation in russia to be killing ukrainians. this is one reason why the russian army, i think, is slowly

a report coming up on syria. you mentioned iran. might there be something internationally, talking about international security, that could be that october surprise or that issue that will swing this election one way or the other? >> well, there's always a possibility of an october surprise or a late september surprise. some of itç could be planned, that is, the president could take some action. but again, i think the place to keep your eyes and ears open for is something unpredictable that happens. syria one reason we're doing this report on syria, leer clearly there are decisions to be made by the international community led by the united states. not putting boots on the ground but whether to put a no-fly zone, no-drive zone for humanitarian purposes. if president obama makes some big decision in that direction, it could put all this conversation about the health care act way in the background. >> and this week you'll be talking about syria specifically on access tv, right? >> yes. and the fact that the syrian opposition has grown, they're much better organized. they're getting weapon withes off the international market.
