Bid to extend Gallowgate shop and open takeaway AN East End shop is hoping to serve up a fresh look by extending its premises. Bosses at Noor Food Store, at 289 Gallowgate, want to takeover a neighbouring lot and add a hot food takeaway. The shop, which specialises in Halal-certified produce, has grown in popularity since opening just last year. In planning documents submitted to Glasgow City Council, agent Keith Edwards Architect wrote: “The existing premises is a single-storey shop which was formerly part of the ground floor shops below a three-storey tenement, which has now been removed.” “The proposal is for the extension of one shop into the next door premises, 587, and be part of the main shop. ....
