Longtime educator John Martin looks to unite Norfolk Aggie as new superintendent

Wicked Local A former teacher, principal, special education director and baseball coach is the new superintendent-director at Norfolk County Agricultural High School. John Martin will replace the outgoing Tammy Quinn at the school. The board of trustees interviewed finalists Martin and Robert Gerardi Jr. for the position at county-run Aggie, one of the few agricultural schools in the state on April 14 before unanimously voting for Martin Tuesday, May 4.   Martin, born and raised in Berkshire County where he spent summers and school vacations working on his aunt s farm, has been an educator for more than 30 years. He has experience as a high school English and history teacher, vice principal, middle school principal, assistant superintendent of curriculum, instruction and professional development; and most recently served as the director of special education at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School.
