For years, a local group has had a goal of sprucing up and maintaining several areas of Baxter County as they look to spread the joy of gardening. The volunteer program, known as the Baxter County Master Gardeners, features individuals trained specifically to represent the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture’s Cooperative Extension Service by providing information on gardening and developing community programs related to horticulture.
Baxter County Master Gardeners Vice President of Special Events and Outreach Ceil Gasiecki was a recent guest of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and she says the goal of the organization is to “help others grow.”
