A federal judge issued a consent order April 7 for a permanent injunction against Douglas Lien, 79, after the Securities Division of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department issued a cease-and-desist order against Lien. Among the victims were three women in Santa Fe, including Randa Phillips, 71, who approached the Securities Division in May 2019 with her complaint against Lien. The Securities Division forwarded the case to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which prosecuted Lien in U.S. District Court. ....
SAN ANGELO As freezing weather continued to hammer the Concho Valley on Wednesday, utility crews have been working around the clock to repair multiple water main breaks even as more breaks are reported across San Angelo. About noon Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, city officials announced a water main break. Just over an hour later, the city reported multiple water main breaks across town, which prompted a boil-water notice for San Angelo. On Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, District 5 Council Member Lane Carter encouraged residents to conserve water as crews worked to repair the damage. Our crews have been out all night fixing one (leak) and moving to the next call. . Parts of town have lost pressure and shut down, Carter wrote in a social media post Wednesday.
