The Hollywood community is mourning a legend as actor and filmmaker Norman Lloyd has passed away at 106 years of age.
The beloved star of St. Elsewhere, Dead Poets Society, and, most recently, the 2015 comedy Trainwreck, passed away in his sleep on Monday, a family friend confirmed to Deadline on Tuesday. 
Lloyd worked with legendary filmmakers such as Orseon Welles and Stanley Kubrick while starring alongside Charlie Chaplin and so many more in a career that spanned decades.

American actor, producer and director Norman Lloyd, whose career of more than 80 years included collaborations with legends such as Charlie Chaplin and Orson Welles, has died at the age of 106, Variety and Deadline Hollywood reported on Tuesday (May 11).
Variety said Lloyd s friend and fellow producer Dean Hargrove confirmed the death, saying Lloyd died on Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles. Deadline Hollywood said he died in his sleep. ....

American actor, producer, and director Norman Lloyd, whose career of more than 80 years included collaborations with legends such as Charlie Chaplin and Orson Welles, has died at the age of 106,

Deadline Hollywood reported on Tuesday, May 11.
Variety said Lloyd s friend and fellow producer Dean Hargrove confirmed the death, saying Lloyd died on Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles.
Deadline Hollywood said he died in his sleep.

Lloyd had a long run as cancer-stricken Dr. Auschlander on the television hospital drama ....

Norman Lloyd, who has died aged 106, made his screen debut falling from the Statue of Liberty in Alfred Hitchcock’s Saboteur; more than 70 years later his role in 2015’s Trainwreck made him the oldest working actor in Hollywood.
While casual cinema- and theatregoers might have struggled to put a face to the name, his CV boasted an impressive 70-odd roles, several of which brought him into the orbit of the industry’s most highly regarded figures. A friendship with Jean Renoir began when Lloyd appeared in The Southerner (1945), perhaps the director’s best-received American film. ....
