School Officials Say over the weekend, the rumor mill went into overdrive, spreading rumors about a planned shooting. Parents said they didnt know what to believe. That fight broke out on thursday at West Port High School, just south of state road 40 in ocala. News 6 reporter Eric Sandoval talked with some of those parents today and he took their concerns to the school district. What have you been able to find out . So many students and parents were scared the shooting may indeed happen. About a thousand students stayed home from school here today at west port.
