The Jefferson City Council passed a resolution Monday instructing city staff to pursue development of the city's river market plan.
City Council members will consider whether to declare the site of a northwest North Platte townhome development “substandard and blighted” and a block near the downtown Federal Building “extremely blighted.”
The City Council also adopted the city’s first-ever “microblight” study for the condemned Elms Lodge and Sherbeck Apartments block and approved microTIF incentives to start rehabilitating it for apartments.
Area police reports indicated:
Relocation and reconstruction of North Platte's skate park was the smallest of three recreation projects voters endorsed by approving a temporary half-cent city sales tax increase in November 2022.
