North Yorkshire Schools Championships Athletic Event took place at York University Track on June 13.
Sam Archer, U17 Intermediate boys 100m hurdles finished fifth in 21:1, Shannon Robinson, U17 Intermediate girls 800m, finished third in 2:19:7 (PB), Tom O Mahoney, U17 Intermediate boys 1500m finished third in 4:31:5, Charlie Stephenson, U20 Senior boys 3000m, finished second in 9:09:1. Two days later, Shannon Robinson continued her PB streak when she raced in the 1500m (U17) at the Trafford Grand Prix, finishing seventh in 4:45:53 (PB).
A week later and the juniors were back out competing at Shildon for the second meet of the North East Youth Development League (NEDYL) on June 20. There was great team spirit amongst the talented athletes and coaches. On the track there were entries across many events.
