A local engineer wants to change the national plumbing code to ensure trash cans are installed at individual public washrooms stalls. Barbara Robinson, president and founder of Norton Engineering in Kitchener says wipes and sanitary products are still being flushed "widely" down the toilet. She will be sending a request to the National Reserach Council to change the plumbing code.
