Israelis protest the Yemenite Children Affair in 2019. Two weeks ago, the government of Israel decided to compensate immigrant families from Yemen and other countries who claim children were taken away from them and put up for adoption in the initial years following the establishment of Israel. Money will be awarded to families who testified during the course of three government investigations that were conducted in the 1960s, 1980s, and 1990s, respectively.
