ELLINGTON â The Board of Selectmen will hold a town meeting on Jan. 11 on the townâs proposal to contribute $126,000 toward the $1.26 million for a permanent agricultural easement for about 167 acres at Oakridge Dairy on Jobs Hill Road, the largest dairy farm in the state. The motion to hold a town meeting and subsequent referendum was introduced during the boardâs meeting on Monday and passed unanimously. The town meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Town Hall, and if residents approve the measure, a referendum would next have to be scheduled.
