Main Street El Dorado is starting 2024 off on a high note.
The inaugural El Dorado Art Walk kicked off yesterday, as local artists arranged some of their work in downtown businesses in hopes of promoting both.
The El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce on Friday held a ribbon cutting for the newly reopened Olde Towne Store at its new location, 210 N. Jefferson Ave. The locally owned business began moving to its new location in July. Later this month, on Sept. 15, Gourmet2Geaux, a new Cajun-inspired lunch restaurant, will open at the Olde Towne Store's former location at 113 N. Jefferson.
The 2023 El Dorado Food Festival got underway on Sept. 1 and foodies from El Dorado and beyond are invited to participate in support of local eateries and to win prizes.
The El Dorado City Council will consider a resignation from one of its members during a regular meeting at 5 p.m. today in the Council Chamber of City Hall.
