Of next year when kevin mccarthy is either going to be, in his view, a new speaker. he doesn t want to have to deal with the government shutdown threat on january 15th or february 15th. that would be an unnecessary distraction for him. so while he says that he doesn t want an omnibus, that it s overdone and too much spending, he benefits the most from getting this done. he wouldn t have to deal with government funding until the end of september 2023. jake just said it hopefully wanting to be speaker. the problem is he doesn t necessarily have the votes as of yet. we re also learning he delayed all the races for committee leadership spots until after the election in january. it feels like this is a recipe for chaos in the new congress. yes, but isn t that the really party they are in complete shambles and they are reeling. trump s candidacy so far for his ....
