OmniRide will restore more services on Monday, March 13, 2023, after union workers voted to end a month-long strike, demanding $12 million more from the transportation agency over four years.
The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission on Sunday evening reported that union bus operators voted to accept the latest contract offer from transit operator Keolis. OmniRide buses will resume service Monday.
OmniRide's Service Change will take effect on Monday, Jan 30.
The OmniRide Commissioners will be asked to approve a series of sweeping service changes to commuter and local bus routes beginning in December. The changes include a bus to Reston, a first for OmniRide.
