India's G20 presidency has initiated the process of creating a climate-friendly world
The G20 countries have committed to 'urgently accelerate' actions to address environmental crises and challenges, including climate change. India, as a leading voice of the 'global south', has maintained that many climate-hit countries are not responsible for the damages wrought on them. While these nations are willing to join the fight against climate change, they have a right to choose their path to reach net zero, arrest land degradation, conserve biodiversity and enrich wildlife.
