Apostle Johnson Suleman has applied to the Lagos State High Court requesting a virtual hearing in the N1 billion libel suit filed against the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore.   Suleman, the President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, had sued Sowore in a suit numbered ID/ADR/374/2017, seeking N1 billion in damages against the Respondent (Sowore) for alleged defamation of character. It was learnt that the cleric had filed the motion as an escape route after the Respondent joined issues with him.

A Lagos State-based journalist, Osa Director, Esq has petitioned the General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA), over what he described as an "ambush, illegal arrest, and detention" of his vehicle. In the petition titled: "Petition against the ambush, illegal arrest, and detention of my vehicle," which was dated August 25, 2023, Osa decried the intimidation of the officials of LASTMA and the policemen attached to them.
