PHILADELPHIA - A West Hazelton retailer is called to court by a Florida man who allegedly slipped on ice in the store s parking lot. Plaintiff Kem Beaty of Jennings visited defendant Henkel Corporation at its 125 Jaycee Drive West Hazelton location on January 21, 2020, says a February lawsuit filed in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. Beaty says he was directed by Henkel employees to park in a certain location to pick up his order and exited his vehicle as instructed. Upon exiting, Beaty says he slipped on a layer of ice and snow, sustaining injuries. Henkel is sued for negligence and loss of consortium; Beaty seeks damages in excess of $200,000.
