Rochester NY live music bars ready to reopen with bands, concerts
It’s been a long 15 months for one of Rochester’s largest music venues. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, “My employees lost their jobs, and I was out of work,” said Peter Sewell, owner of Water Street Music Hall and The Club at Water Street, which operate side by side under one roof at 204 N. Water St. “But for me, it was the mental anguish of not being active and being able to see people. That was worse than the financial part.” He's feeling more optimistic now, having booked a lineup of post-pandemic shows, the first of which happens next month.
