Ardee man Paddy Hand is one of the lucky Octogenarians to have received their first COVID vaccination in the latest round last Friday (26th). Paddy who is a sprightly 85 years old, says he feels grand after the jab, and is looking forward to getting his follow up injection in three weeks’ time. ‘I didn’t feel a thing, and I have had no side effects, thank God,’ says Paddy, who worked in engineering in Dunleer for 47 years. ‘There was nothing to it – very similar to the flu vaccine I get every year – and I was back on my feet the same day.’
