Nuvoton Technology, a Taiwan-based microcontroller unit (MCU) maker, is seeking to improve its presence in Korea's industrial MCU market, its chairman said Wednesday. “Nuvoton has operations in eight countries with over 3,000 employees worldwide. We acquired Panasonic Semiconductor in September 2020. Today, we are No. 7 in the global MCU market,” Yuan-Mou Su, chairman and CEO of Nuvoton Technology, said during a press conference at a hotel in Seoul.
