Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and friends from the Disney Kingdom don their skates and search for the true meaning of what it means to be a hero as "Disney On Ice presents Find Your Hero" takes over North Little Rock s Simmons Bank Arena.
Wildwood Park for the Arts and Praeclara are staging "Oliver!" (music, lyrics and book by Lionel Bart, based on Charles Dickens "Oliver Twist"), 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday and Oct. 21-22 and 3 p.m. Sunday and Oct. 23 in the Lucy Lockett Cabe Festival Theatre at Wildwood in Little Rock.
"Transcending Stereotypes," works by Kenny Reams, goes on display with an opening night reception, 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Parish House Gallery at Christ Episcopal Church in Little Rock.
Downtown Little Rock Partnership offers a dog parade, a beer garden, a hurricane station, a crawfish boil, gumbo and plenty of beads for the "Barkus on Main Mardi Gras Dog Parade & Block Party," noon-5 p.m. Sunday along the 300-700 blocks of Little Rock's Main Street.
"Shen Yun," a reflection of 5,000 years of Chinese culture in music and dance with an orchestra in the pit, is onstage at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Center Performance Hall in Little Rock.
