A bewildered driver has told of his wild ride with Jarryd Hayne after the footballer rolled out of a pub and paid $100 for a lift to the police station.
Comedian and presenter Jon-Bernard Kairouz has provided a stunning insight into the one-time football star's jovial behaviour while he awaited trial on rape charges.
Mr Kairouz told Daily Mail Australia he was sitting in his car when Hayne burst out of the St George Hotel in Kingsgrove about 2pm one afternoon in October 2019.
Hayne, 33, asked the young man if he could drive him some 30km to Castle Hill Police Station where the footballer was required to report for bail.

Anyone interested in joining me for a road trip to the Sunshine Coast in June?
Earlier this week it was confirmed that the Ampol State of Origin women’s clash would be played on the Sunshine Coast for the second year in a row.
Some NSW fans may be disappointed the June 25 game is remaining north for another year, it gives fans in Queensland and from other parts of the country who can take a holiday a chance to cheer on their Origin heroes given how heavily last year’s contest was affected by border closures.

A naked Hayne was stripsearched by a latex-gloved officer, and instructed to hand over his clothes … the white shirt, charcoal suit, dark patterned tie and the shoes he wore to court.
In exchange, a prison officer handed Hayne dark green track pants and sweatshirt, matching shorts and underpants and white sandshoes with velcro fastenings.
Dressed in his new prison greens, he posed by a height marker for his prison mug shot.
Then he was sat down for an interview with a jail officer and a Justice Health nurse about his mental wellbeing, and whether he was fearful of any particular inmates.

He was twice awarded Paramatta's Ken Thornett Medal as the club's best player.
V'landys said Friday the league will have a conversation about Hayne's honours, after his appeal process is completed
"No it's not hard to take them away but we don't want to prejudice the legal process," V'landys told 2GB Radio.
"We'll consult the Parramatta club and we'll make a decision after that," he said.

Jarryd Hayne and Johnathan Thurston were joint winners of the 2014 Dally M Award.
"We would like to see Jarryd exhaust his appeal process, once he's done that we'll make a decision.
"Naturally we'll consult the Parramatta club that he played with, but I think it's a bit early to be considering it."

In the final minute of the first half during the Tricolours' loss to Parramatta, Hutchison copped a nasty shot to the ribs from Brown, who appeared lead in with the knees while the five-eighth had dived in for a try that was later waved off by the bunker.
The no-call, which left many scratching their heads, could've been a sin-binning offence, while that same question was also asked of Marata Niukore who cleaned up James Tedesco earlier in the sequence with a high shot.
It also shut down any possibility of a debut for 18th-man Joseph Suaalii, who was denied his shot because Brown was not cited.
