Train and lorry collide in Czech Republic, killing one

An intercity passenger train collided with a lorry at a level crossing in the eastern Czech Republic on Wednesday morning, killing the train driver, police and the railway operator said. More than a dozen of the approximately 35 passengers on the train were injured in the accident, which derailed the locomotive and one carriage. Overhead lines were also damaged.
