Douglas authorities warn of prowler with a beard lurking around Gardnerville area homes
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a prowler in two separate areas in Douglas County this week. The first incident reported was on Monday, March 9, 2015, at approximately 2:44 am, Deputies were dispatched to 1400 block South Marion Russell Court for a male peering into a garage.

Several road closures in Johnson Lane area due to flooding
Douglas County Emergency Management is currently working on managing the current flooding in the Johnson Lane area. Several road closures have occurred in this area; Johnson Lane at US Hwy 395, East Valley Road at Buckeye Road, Stephanie and Vicky and East Valley Road at Eldon Lane.

Heavy rain and wind arrives in Carson City, knocking down trees, power poles
UPDATE 1:45PM: Eagle Valley Creek in Carson City went above its flood stage just before 1 pm this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. A flood warning remains in effect until 6:15 p.m. for urban areas and small streams in Carson City and western Douglas County.
