That n.i.l. became shorthand for many a college sports fan, and nearly two years ago the supreme court ruled 9-0 deciding restrictions on education-related benefits violated antitrust law, and it has transformed college sports ever since we have a patchwork of state laws creating chaos for 1100 member institutions and 500,000 student athletes and the question is whether congress will intervene and when. and now, perhaps reluctantly, the ncaa is wanting congress tos act. this week the house subcommittee held its first congressional hearing on college sports and this issue of compensation it s the first hearing that they ve heard in nearly two years. joining me now is the new president of the ncaa, and he s not a former university president. they hired a former republican governor of massachusetts charlie baker, he join us from houston where sadly for me uconn defeated the university of miami ....

He is coming along. by the grace of god he is going to make it. reporter: days after friday s deadly ef-4 tornado that claimed 22 lives across mississippi and alabama, survivors are being pointed to a patchwork of hotels and shelters. among them, charnise. i m blessed, but i can t say i m okay mentally. reporter: her home was destroyed when the tornado tore through. so she went to her mother s house, where she planned to stay with her three sons, but that house burned down the next day when the generator caught fire. now they re all at a hotel. as we pick up what we can, retrieve from the storm, they re like, okay, when are we going home? referring to the hotel as home. reporter: federal officials are on the ground pushing people to sign up for disaster relief, funds to help with everything from temporary housing to repairs, with an estimated 2,000 homes damaged statewide, assessments will take time. attention now turning to the bare necessities like power and water, out sinc ....
