The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) has confirmed 14 people have died as a result of this week's winter storm, according to the latest update from the Tennessee Emergency Management Association (TEMA).
The three additional counties are Cheatham, Gibson and Stewart. The other counties previously approved were Dickson, Montgomery, and Summer.
The Expedited Major Disaster Declaration was approved Dec. 13. The deadline for those in the affected counties to apply for FEMA's Individual Assistance is Feb. 12.
The declaration makes federal assistance available to impacted residents in Dickson, Davidson, Montgomery and Sumner counties.
