World under the shadow of the statue of liberty, its often told as a very uplifting and romantic story where immigrants become americans, but not many of us know the history of immigration through angel island. This is the immigration station in San Francisco and its an important site not only for what happened back then in the early 20th century, but also because its so timely today.
