Now, two more Twin Cities breweries are helping to replicate that effort with upcoming events.
56 Brewing in Minneapolis will host a COVID-19 vaccine pop-up clinic from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 28. Anyone interested can sign up for a time slot here.
And Clockwerks Brewing, also in Minneapolis, will do the same Saturday, May 29, from 12-5 p.m., during the day's Twins game. Sign-ups for "A Poke and a Pilsner" are available here.
At both events, anyone who comes in to get the vaccine will also get a free pint, said Dr. Jena Wirt, an ICU physician and one of the organizers of the pop-up clinics.

A St. Paul brewery is partnering with a neighborhood pharmacy for COVID-19 vaccinations and beer Monday.
Lake Monster Brewing Company announced it is partnering with St. Paul Corner Drug for the pop-up vaccination clinic.
The clinic is taking place starting at 6 p.m. Monday at the brewery, located on Vandalia Street.
Organizers said there are 300 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine to distribute. Interested participants are able to fill out a form in advance here.
Those who stop by the event for the free COVID-19 shot are also then able to enjoy a free beer.

ST PAUL, Minn. — Health officials and providers face a challenge as the surge of Minnesotans anxious to get vaccinated against COVID-19 subsides: They must now attempt to convince those who are hesitant or have concerns about COVID-19 vaccines to come in and get immunized.
Well, a possible solution will be tested Monday, as a St. Paul pharmacy teams with a local brewer to see if a powerful thirst can change minds. Lake Monster Brewing, located at 550 Vandalia St., will host a pop-up vaccination clinic from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with St. Paul Corner Drug offering free doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine free of charge to the first 300 people show up. No insurance is needed.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — When Matt Lange got into the beer brewing business, serving shots wasn’t part of the plan—at least not of tequila, anyway.
But on Monday, Lake Monster Brewing in St. Paul will transform its patio into a pop-up COVID vaccine clinic and offer 300 doses of Johnson and Johnson—plus a free beer on the brewery’s tab.
“No hard liquor just a shot of vaccine and beer,” joked Lange, founder of Lake Monster.
St. Paul Corner Drug approached Lange with the idea as a way to offer an incentive for people who are on the fence about getting a vaccine or those who aren’t making it a top priority. It was an easy sell, he said.

Curt and Patti Kaler were happy when they reached the end of their appointment-booking process for a COVID-19 vaccine and discovered they were getting the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine — the one they wanted.
"For us, not having to commute a second time was a bonus," Curt Kaler said from the road last week, midway through his three-hour trip from the Kalers' Lakeville, Minnesota, home to a Walmart pharmacy in Marshall.

Other Minnesotans are starting to shop more selectively, as President Joe Biden recently pledged to make all U.S. adults eligible for a vaccine by May 1.
Despite the oft-repeated public health advice that people should get whatever vaccine is first available to them, some vaccine-seekers are using online tools like vaccinespotter.org to locate a specific brand at a retail site. Some public sites, like the Dakota County vaccine page, also list vaccine availability by brand.
