Charles was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Arastus V. and Mary L. (Weston) Wright. He married Ruby Castlebury on March 28, 2009, and she survives of the home. Charles was raised in the Milo area and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
