SVRCS students place first, third in Budget Game | News, Sports, Jobs

LOGANTON Garret Hampton, under the leadership of Arleen Parker, from Sugar Valley Charter Rural School, finished in first place in the Statewide division of thePennsylvania Council on Financial Literacy Budget Game. Additionally, Isaiah Nearhoof, also of SVRCS, placed third.
Sugar Valley’s CEO Tracie Kennedy, commented, “Congratulations to Garret and Isaiah for their hard work and accomplishments.”
Parker added, “My students love the Budget Game. They can’t wait for cconomics class to play the next month.”
The Pennsylvania Council on Financial Literacy (PennCFL) provides students in grades 6-12 in Pennsylvania a world-class, web-based budget simulation platform and curriculum called the Budget Game. This program is sponsored by Bank of America. ....
