Panel to discuss violence Against Asian Americans


The panel is one of Monroe County Community College s May Diversity Month Series of presentations.
The public is welcome.
Ranjeev Puri, State Representative 21st House District, Michigan, serving Canton, Belleville and Van Buren Township, will serve on the panel along with Sunita Doddamani, head of Hate Crimes & Domestic Terrorism Unit, Criminal Trial & Appeals Division, Michigan Department of the Attorney General, and Laura Misumi, executive director, Rising Voices of Asian American Families and managing director, Detroit Action.
The discussion with be moderated by Dr. Shuvra Das, professor or mechanical engineering, University of Detroit Mercy and co-founder, SAMOSA, South Asia Multicultural Organized Student Association, and Parmeshwar (Peter) Coomar, dean of applied sciences and engineering technology division at MCCC. ....
