UPPER DUBLINÂ â Safety, connectivity and equity are the goals of a Cross County Trail expansion feasibility study outlined to about 70 viewers in a virtual information session Thursday. âWe want to be able to create a trail that allows folks regardless of ability to be able to use it,â said Matt Ludwig, a project manager with NV5, a consulting firm advising the ongoing project. She gave him the phone and then turned her back and continued to count, according to the report. NORRISTOWNÂ â The Montgomery County Planning Commission, in partnership with its consultant, NV5, has initiated work on studying the feasibility of the easternmost segment of Montgomery Countyâs Cross County Trail. This 6-mile-long segment, when completed, will begin at Welsh Road in Upper Dublin Township and terminate at the countyâs Pennypack Trail. The project may involve several municipalities, including Upper Dublin, Upper Moreland, Horsham, Hatboro, and Bryn Athyn. âOnce completed, this important connection will link at least two other well-loved regional trails together, including the Power Line and Pennypack Trails,â said Val Arkoosh, chairwoman of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. âIt is very exciting to see this work move forward, and we encourage residents to attend the upcoming public meeting and provide their feedback on this project.â ....
