Suspected loan shark, 52, arrested in Birkenhead A SUSPECTED loan shark was arrested during raids in Wirral. The 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of illegal money lending and money laundering following an operation in Birkenhead. The England Illegal Money Lending Team working in partnership with Wirral Council Trading Standards and Merseyside Police searched properties across five addresses in Rock Ferry and Tranmere on Wednesday.
