Sorry to resurrect this old chestnut, but I wonder what the collective think of this conundrum? Earlier this year, I entered an online competition and to my utter astonishment, won first prize! (It was NOT a scam!) I have today received confirmation that the prize has been dispatched form California via FEDEX and should arrive in about 4-5 days. I am hoping that there will be no import duty, VAT or whatever to pay as the prize has a value of approximately $US1380, although, of course,it has cost me nothing.
